This revival brings back the energy and excitement that once dominated the European dance scene. Vikki & Aggz are now the official members of CAPPELLA, performing across the UK and Europe. Their shows, whether live or with their DJ, electrify events and festivals, drawing thousands of enthusiastic fans. Gianfranco Bortolotti is also working on a new single, promising to bring fresh sounds while maintaining the essence of CAPPELLA’s legendary music.
In January 2022, CAPPELLA announced on Instagram that Lis Birks would step down from performing to manage the band with Gianfranco Bortolotti. The new lineup featured singer Vikki Waters and rapper Steve Lewis. They toured Europe from March to October. In May 2023, CAPPELLA announced their first single in nearly 20 years, “Happy Phonk,” which was released on October 13, 2023. In November, Jay McCurdy departed and was succeeded by Andrew “Aggz” Gidney, with DJ Aroxx (Andy Critchlow) joining to support the stage lineup.
